Emily holds a certificate IV in allied health assistance. As an Allied Health Assistant; Emily works closely with Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to ensure client's experience well rounded care. She believes that connection, a deep sense of safety, and joy are important factors in helping clients achieve their goals.

Physiotherapy & Hydrotherapy

  • Regularly observe and report progress during physiotherapy sessions.

  • Assist in the implementation of prescribed exercise programs.

  • Ensure clients perform exercises correctly and safely.

  • Provide hands-on support to clients working on improving mobility.

  • Use assistive devices and techniques to enhance movement.

  • Implement pain management strategies as directed by the physiotherapist.

  • Monitor and document pain levels and responses to interventions.

  • Educate clients on exercises, home-based care, and preventive measures.

  • Offer guidance on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

Hydrotherapy

Occupational Therapy

  • Collaborate with the occupational therapist to set personalised goals.

  • Assist clients in modifying daily activities to enhance independence.

  • Implement strategies to adapt environments for optimal functioning.

  • Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices and equipment.

  • Ensure clients are comfortable and proficient in utilising recommended tools.

  • Support individuals with sensory processing challenges through therapeutic activities.

  • Facilitate exercises and activities to enhance fine motor skills and coordination.

  • Focus on improving skills necessary for daily living

Occupational Therapy

Speech Therapy

  • Collaborate with the speech therapist to set personalised goals.

  • Assist in articulation exercises to improve pronunciation.

  • Support individuals with voice disorders through therapeutic exercises.

  • Work on enhancing social communication skills, including conversation and pragmatic language.

  • Facilitate activities to improve interaction in various social contexts.
